This is what you get when you cross a steam engine with a beetle: steampunk battle beetles. So you'd better watch out when assembling these insects, because they are really sly… insects. The 3D Steampunk Beetle Construction Kits not only look like little robot replicas of their real-life counterparts, they also have different abilities.

The Storm Beetle with its scissor-like mouthparts and considerable size is clearly a battle-hardened specimen. Its model therefore features metal-reinforced mouthparts, special armor and a laser cannon on its back. If you activate the beetle using the sensor at its base, its wings flap approx. 720 times per minute.

The Rhinoceros Beetle is also equipped with a weapon in the wild, which gives it its name, and which is significantly reinforced here. The model also has leather-armored wings, a movable 8-cylinder engine and various light and movement effects.

In contrast to its two counterparts, the Scout Beetle is a rather peaceful fellow, but should not be underestimated. As the name suggests, it is perfectly adapted to exploring new areas and is equipped with a special lamp on its back, among other things. Other light and movement effects, such as the rapid flapping of its wings, make it an impressive model.

With a little skill and the right tools, the battle beetles can be assembled in around 3 hours. Incidentally, they are fortunately not actually steam-powered. 3 x AAA batteries (not included) are enough for the beetles to show off all their skills. So you can display them on your desk or shelf without having to worry about soot stains or other dirt.
